Simple Crocheted Potholder

This potholder is a fun project to make, basically all you have to do is start out with a crocheted chain and then single crochet around the chain. :)

Start out with a single chain approximately nine inches in length.

Crochet around the chain. (One round.)

Continue crocheting around the first chain. This is how it should look after 13 or so rounds.

Almost finished!

With a large needle (in this case I made my own using a stick from outside, lol! I'm sure a real needle would have worked better but this one did the job.) sew the opening together using yarn as thread.

Finished and ready to use! :)

Emily - this looks really cute & pretty simple! I'll have to show it to my sisters, as they are the ones who crochet. :) Have you tried selling any???

Love you!

No, Ruth Ann we have not tried selling them. JoAnna and I have been thinking about it though. :)

That's really neat! What kind of yarn do you recommend?

I just used regular yarn, it works fine. :) Thanks for the comment!
