The Best Cornbread

I got this recipe from my sister-in-law and love it! I've always liked cornbread, but this recipe is by far the best one I've tried:).

The Best Cornbread

1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. unbleached all purpose flour
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1 1/2 t. salt
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. milk
1/4 c. oil

Combine everything and mix well. Pour into an 8-inch square baking pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Enjoy!:)

Mmm! It's been awhile since we've had cornbread; I'll have to try this recipe sometime soon.:)

"Combine everything and mix well." All the best recipes are this simple. ;) I already have a recipe for cornbread (or Johnny Cake as we tend to call it!) but it is so much more complex I think I'll try this recipe next time I want to make some!

Blessings,
Anna
