This recipe goes way back to when I was first learning to bake and cook and it's still one of my favorites! It had been awhile since I last made it; just smelling it baking brought back a lot of good memories. :)
Cake:
3/4 c. Sugar
2 1/2 t. Baking powder
3/4 t. Salt
1/4 c. Oil
3/4 c. Milk
1 Egg
Topping:
1/3 c. Sugar
1/4 c. Flour
1/2 t. Cinnamon
3 T. Butter
Mix the dry ingredients and then add all the wet. Mix thoroughly, pour into a greased 8x8 inch pan. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle over the top of the unbaked cake. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Enjoy a warm piece with a good cup of coffee. :)

Mmm! Its always nice to have old favorites like this one to mix up quick! :) Recently we've still had so many apples around that pretty much all I've been baking is apple cobblers, and trying out other new apple recipes. :)
This looked simple and sounded so good so thought I would quick throw it together before supper. Tasted as good as it looked :) Thanks for sharing. Kiddos looked like they were having fun too.
That is nice to have extra apples to bake with, Sunshine Country, :) an apple pie sounds yummy right now!
Thanks for the comment Anonymous, :) You are welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed the coffee cake!
