Written by the author of A basket of Flowers, this excellent book set during the reign of Emperor Trajan, about a century after the birth of Christ, Placidus a Roman leader and warrior is led to faith in Jesus Christ. Because of persecution he and his family must leave Rome. Placidus' faith is tested as on their journey every earthly convenience and companion is taken from him. A very moving story of God's Grace and Providence.
I've only been able to find one publisher that carries this book. You can visit their site here.

neat! The Basket of Flowers is a very good book, so this one should be as well. I thought this was a new Lamplighter book or something, because it's cover is done similarly. :) I like hardback books!! :)
Love you! :)
This book is one of my favorites!
Thank you for sharing this review, Emily! The book sounds excellent . . . I will have to get it some time. :)
