Contentment

"For I have learned in whatsoever state I am there with to be content." Phi 4:11

Be content with the place and position God gives you in life. Do not expect to be happier in a different position or place if you are not first content with where God has you now. It's an issue of the heart, not your circumstances.

Thanks for this - I needed it today. Love the picture - Is it from your flowers?

I took the picture of the flower at a zoo in Kansas when I was visiting family a few weeks back. :)

Is the flower a Rose of Sharon? It looks like one. It's very pretty.

Also, this is a good reminder. It's something I need to concentrate on myself. My husband and I have been watching someone else really struggle with this over the last year and more; it's so hard when they don't see the real source of the problem. :-/ Another reminder that we can't believe and practice for someone else, but have to tend to ourselves in that area.

Thank you for the comment M. E. Stephens, I'm really not sure what kind of flower it is, you might be right that it is a Rose of Sharon. :) You are right, it is hard to see someone struggling in this area when they can't seem to see that it is a heart issue, and instead blame their circumstances. This quote was a good reminder to me as well. :)
