Customizing my template

As you can see I've been trying to customize my template. I've been experimenting with a few different html codes. Green is my favorite color so I was happy to find this background. I would like to add a border and also edit the header, but I have not been very successful thus far. I've messed up the whole template a few times and had to revert back to the original. But hopefully I will be able to figure it all out eventually.

If anyone has any hints that would be great! Thank you Lydia for all your help! You are right, Hyper-links are easy. :)

About the Author

Frances Ridley Havergal (1836-1879) was an English poet and hymn writer. She began writing verses at the young age of seven. She wrote many hymns including the well know one: "Take My Life and Let It Be." Other hymns written by her include: "Like A River Glorious,""I Gave My Life for Thee,"and "Who Is on the Lord's Side?" as well as others. She published several volumes of poems and hymns. Her book "Kept For the Master's Use is based on her hymn Take My Life and Let It Be, Consecrated, Lord to Thee.

Thought provoking, wonderful book, it really made me examine my heart and want afresh to dedicate my life, and all, for Jesus Christ. He has given His all for me by His death on the cross of Calvary. Leaves

There are an amazing variety of leaves, not only are there a lot of different shapes, (The pictures below are only a small percent of the different kinds just around our yard.) there is also different shades of green. How dull it would be if there was only one shade of green outdoors. All of God's creation is amazing! Even the "common" leaves.

Puff Pillow Buns

Puff Pillow Buns

1 package active dry yeast

1/4 cup warm water
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 sugar
1/3 cup melted butter cooled to lukewarm.
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
3 cups flour

Put the yeast in a bowl, add the water, milk and butter, sugar, the two beaten eggs, lemon peel, and salt. Mix well. Add one cup of the flour beat until well combined. Stir in the remaining two cups of flour. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and refrigerate dough at least 4 hours or overnight.

Cream~Cheese filling:

4 three-ounce packages softened cream cheese
2 tablespoons sugar
2 slightly beaten egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla

Blend all the above ingredient well.

Take the dough and divide in fourths. On a generously floured surface, roll each portion into a 12x8 inch rectangle. With a floured knife cut in six 4-inch squares. Place about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each square; bring opposite corners to the center, pinching to seal. Place 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Let rise uncovered in a warm place for about 20 to 30 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until done. Serve hot. Makes: 2 dozen buns.

Consider The Ants...

Have you ever really stopped and and considered the ant? It's amazing to watch them at work, building their tunnels and carrying food etc. I tried to take a few pictures, it was a little difficult due to their very small size (you can see in the first photo just how small these ants really are.)

Notice the ant in the middle is carrying out
one grain of sand from the tunnels below.

Did you Know:

~The average life expectancy of an ant is 45-60 days.

~The ant has two eyes, each eye is made of many smaller eyes.

~There are over 10,000 known species of ants.

~Many ants such as the common Red species have a sting which they use to defend their nest.

~The common Black Ants and Wood Ants have no sting, but they can squirt a spray of formic acid. Some birds put ants in their feathers because the ants squirt formic acid which gets rid of the parasites.

~Strong in relation to their size, ants can carry 10 to 20 times their body weight. They work in teams to move extremely heavy things.
