This past fall we got two kittens, Captain (above, who is the most laid back animal, and puts up with a lot), :) and Sadie. Abigail, loves the cats and takes good care of them making sure they have food and water every day. This picture made me smile. :)

A Spring Tea Party
On the second day of spring, the kids and I had a special spring tea party.
Early in the afternoon we started making a few things to eat at the party. Here, all the kids wanted to help make a chocolate cake. The beater was especially fun to help with! :)
Then of course everyone wanted to help oil the pan! I can assure you, there was no way the cake was sticking after they were done. lol
Abby helped make iced tea.
After their naps, the kids iced the cake together and then dumped sprinkles on to their hearts content. :)
Then it was party time! :) Before we started I had visions of cute little dishes and white gloved little girls with hats and fancy napkins, a place where no children cry, spill their tea, or dump their cake on the floor. Something like this:
But this is not reality people, ;) at least not at my house! lol :) But you know, we had a wonderful time together and that's what matters! :)
Happy spring to you all! :)

Baby Luke
Wearing one of my favourite shirts of his that says: "Handsome like Daddy" :)
My sweet baby man Luke Alexander. :) This boy is big, 18.6 lbs, at 2 1/2 months old, most of his clothes are size 6-9 months. He has really started responding by smiling and cooing when talked to now, and had just started to try and reach out and grab for toys. :) We love him a lot! [smile]

Weather Report by Eeyore :)
This...
... is what it looks like outside my kitchen window today; snowing and cold. Spring is taking its time getting here! I must say the falling snow is pretty though. At the same time, I'll be very happy when warm weather finally arrives. :)
What's the weather like at your house?

Kids+Dirt+Flower Seeds= Fun
This afternoon the kids planted (with some help) some flower seeds I bought a few days ago. :)
Aster, Mairgold, and Zinnia seeds.
Filling up their pots with potting soil. No, it didn't stay this clean, lol when you are working with dirt, things do get dirty, and this time was no exception! :)
I wrote their names on their pots. You can't see it all here, but Abby insisted she wanted to add a smiley face to each one too, so I let her. :)
While the dirt was out, I let the kids help me re-pot a neglected plant I've had sitting in the window sill for forever. I also finally planted a couple of spider plants that had been living in water for months.
This little pink watering can was too cute to pass up last time I was at the store. :)
The pots are in the sunshine, and now we wait. Looking forward to flowers later this year. :)
