-Cherry Nut Bread-

This bread is very easy to mix up and it taste wonderful hot or cold. This recipe originally came from my grandpa on my mom's side of the family. :)

-Cherry Nut Bread-

1 1/4 cups sugar

1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
3 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1 jar maraschino cherries
(cut into 1/4's & add some juice too)

Mix together the sugar, egg and milk. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder. Stir in wet ingredients. Blend in nuts and cherries. Pour in a greased loaf pan. Let stand 30 minutes. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or cold. :)
